I've been wishing it our culture would move on past baseball as well. It is so painful to watch. Going to a game can have some redeeming qualities, but watching it on tv is a waste. I am an AVID sports fan, and I watched a grand total of 5 minutes of one game of the World Series - and due to the exhilirating pace of the fame and commercials, I saw 2 pitches during that 5 minutes.
