I think that there should definitely be criminal charges filed. Not only is the program a violation of constitutional rights, but the administration acted unilaterally and beyond the scope of its office when enacting this program.
And those who should be charged are obvious as well, since Bush and his underlings have all explicitly stated that they initiated and ran the program.
It’s too easy. If this was a fair country.
I don’t think most people are upset about the eavesdropping…it’s that it’s warrentless, without even the facade of due process. Now instead of an educated judge making the decision, we have mystery man.
They know they were breaking the law. What good is the law if we can’t enforce it when it comes to “our” leadership. The Dept. of Justice needs seperation from the president.
