Geez, that took long enough. After months and months of endless obfuscation (or the most dim-witted and incapable public official in the history or governance…but come on.) Attorney General Alberto Gonzales has finally stepped down.
As with Mr. Rove, we’ll see now just how hard the opposing side plans to come down on the latest departing “loyal Bushy”. Of course in this circumstance, C-Span’s footage of Congressional hearings is likely enough to get Gonzales in serious trouble. The pursuit of justice will depend on whether Democrats were seeking the truth and consequences in this matter, or simply playing politics to break apart an already faltering presidency.
But nobody in Washington would play politics…would they? WOULD THEY?!??!?
