It’s almost a sport these days for tech pundits to complain about the seeming lack of interoperability of Apple’s products whether because of DRM, software/hardware requirements, or any other factor they choose. This has happened with Sony in the past (and sometimes still does). When it comes to Apple, people don’t like that you need iTunes to use their consumer electronics, or that most of the music on iTunes is still DRM protected, or that you need to use AT&T in the US to use a locked iPhone, or whatever they want to complain about this week.
Well here’s my main question: Do you need anything made by Apple?
Sure, I’ll elaborate. Do you need any of Apple’s products in the same way that you need food? Are you being forced to buy anything manufactured by Apple?
No?
Then HOLY F-BOMB, shut up about it! Nobody is making you buy or use Apple computers, iPods, iPhones, or whatever, so what do you really have to complain about? Crikey.
