Solo was nice, but the intro and most of the song were just too busy- he didn’t give it a chance to breathe, and I think it suffered.
I agree with Mugs.
Can’t say I ever expected to hear such an impressive version of little wing on an acoustic though. Impressive.
This guy has beat the heck out of the face of his guitar as well. One of those guys who needs a pick guard for the whole top of the guitar!
Monte has changed his cover of Little Wing around so much in the past several years, I hardly recognize it anymore — if y’all ever get a chance to listen to his “Full Moon Monte” rendition of it from 1999, you’ll never listen to Little Wing the same way again. Absolutely unreal.
